Needing It Now
I have been dying for a nice camera because I really want to start doing outfit posts, but I think it makes a huge difference when you use a DSLR instead of a point and shoot (learned all about them in my photojournalism class this semester!) Big investment, but I think it is worth it. Do you have any recommendations on which cameras are best?!

Maximize It
I've loved the look of a maxi dress and skirt for the spring and summer for a while but I only own one- so it's time to invest in a few more. I like that you can throw on a tee to walk around town, or put on a nicer shirt, wedges and some jewelry and wear it out to dinner. And, if you get the right one, they can be so comfortable. You can also find maxis that can be worn as a dress and a skirt (see the white one below)- talk about a great two-for-one price!

Rainy Day
Today is one of those stay-in-bed-all-day kind of days. It is pouring and thundering here in Dallas, and I am thankful I don't have class. The dreary weather inspired me to share some of my favorite rainy day accessories!

The Spring-Into-Summer Wedge
My all-time favorite shoe for the spring and summer is the wedge sandal. Although I have a few pairs in my closet, I'm always open to adding some more! The main reason I love them is because they are so versatile- I wear them with skinny jeans, flared jeans, dresses and skirts. Always a great go-to shoe. Here are a few of my favorites. As you can see, I really like Kate Spade's this season.

No, I am not talking about the Fab 5 from "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy"... Am I the only one that remembers that show? Anyways- I'm talking about these Balenciaga rings that were spotted during Fashion Week 2013... they're so funky but in such a chic and hip way. Think you could pull them off? I am currently in love with jean jackets. I don't think I have owned one since middle school, but they are definitely making a comeback. My favorite look for a jean jacket is when it is paired with white jeans, wedges, hoop earrings and a simple necklace. And unlike most jackets, you can definitely find these for under $100.

New (Beauty) Finds
When I put on my foundation the other morning, I realized that it was nowhere near the color of my skin now that I am actually tan. So it was time for a mini road trip. Before I got to Nordstrom, my plan was to buy my current foundation (Chanel perfection lumiere) in an appropriate shade. But as I walked in, the Trish McEvoy counter caught my eye because I have been told that her husband is a dermatologist- and my skin needs all the help it can get. I ended up taking a risk, and purchasing her tinted moisturizer. It feels so clean and natural!
Oh, and I also finally bought the Clarisonic "Mia" that I have been wanting for a while after hearing my friends rave about it. I love trying new products, so I am really excited about these purchases!
