Cargo
I never thought I would say this, but I love love love cargo pants. Ok- not what you're thinking... I'm not talking about the baggy pants you used to see on younger boys, I'm talking about cargo skinnies. They're easy to dress up with a button down and flats, or dress down by throwing on a tee. They look so cute, I'm obsessed.
Think Tights
I came across these photos of celebs and their timeless black tights- both on and off the red carpet. I have to admit, as soon as I hit my teens I thought tights were just for little girls, but now that I am older, I realize that they don't look childish- they look classy. I'll definitely make sure I have a few pairs when I get home for winter break.
Black tights are perfect for throwing on under a dress or skirt. They can help make a fall dress more formal and winter-friendly.

Holiday Wish List
As I get older, the size of my wish-list tends to wind down. No more endless lists of toys and gadgets, typically just clothes and accessories. It makes me miss my childhood, but my obsession with fashion makes that ok- for the most part :)
I'm a little late in the game for metallic skinny jeans, but I still am dying for a pair! I cannot believe I don't already own a pair- what was I thinking!?
My two sisters (both younger, and can sometimes be more stylish than me!) both have Barbour jackets, and I envy them and wish I got one when they did. It made my wish-list, even if we all have to be matching!
So it's time for a new perfume. My mom recently mentioned that the one I have been wearing (Marc Jacobs Lemon- which I adore), is too summery. Now that she brings it up, I totally agree. Chanel Chance is more appropriate for the cold weather!
I fell in love with the leather trend that was introduced this fall. I'm running a little late, once again, but according to a few designers like Rachel Zoe, it appears that it is here to stay! On the look out for a reasonably priced one- seeing that they typically run for hundreds of dollars- so if you have any suggestions please let me know!
Oh! And oops- forgot that a candle is on my list too! Missed the cut on my collage, but I certainly won't forget about it. I'm thinking Diptyque or Nest, but no idea what scent. Ideas? Your favorites? SOS!
Your turn: What made it onto your wish-list? Hope you all have been good this year!

Military Chic
Yes, military jackets are appropriate to be wearing in 2012- they're not just for soldiers. Designers such as Elizabeth and James and Marc Jacobs have incorporated a military look in their fall lines, so you know it’s in style!
Key pieces that will bring out the military side in you include military-inspired jackets with strong shoulders and brass buttons. Some of the most popular colors found in military style clothes are this season’s hottest shades: navy blue and hunter green. This way, you can rock two trends!

If the feel of military clothing seems to be too masculine, pair a military-inspired jacket with a feminine dress or skirt- pale hues are the way to go with these added pieces. This outfit can be worn with heels and a fun bag, which will show off your girly side, while simultaneously proving how fashion-forward you really are!
Not looking for too much of a feminine feel? Adding an edgy side to a military-inspired outfit can be done by incorporating leather pants, oversized sunglasses and short boots with a military coat.
As the temperature begins to cool off, forget throwing on a basic pea coat- add excitement to your outfit with a stylish military jacket.

Loving Leather
Faux leather has made its debut into the fashion world- it's no longer just for motorcyclists. Designers like Rachel Zoe and Rebecca Taylor introduces this new look at New York Fashion Week a while back, and made it clear that this trend isn't temporary- you can wear it all the way through the spring. So it's definitely worth investing in!
This look is perfect for the winter because it looks best in dark colors, typically black, green and maroon. Skirts, tops (be selective in styles...), jackets and side bags are the best items to wear in leather.
Leather jackets are probably the first piece that come to mind when you think of leather. Pair it with jeans and ankle boots (biker boots will really bring out the inner rebel in you!) for an edgier look, or wear it with a dress.
If you wear the look right, you can even make room for it in the work-attire, pair a feminine leather skirt with a blouse or a form-fitting blazer. Keep the leather to a minimum though. You don't want to show off too much an edgy look for work- save it for a night out or on the weekends.
So whether your style is classy, edgy, or somewhere in between, there is a perfect leather item that will fit your wardrobe. This trend is bound to spice up any outfit!
